Partnership for Quality Care Event, 7/11
Last Saturday, July 11th, over 250 people gathered at the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Community Center for an event put on by the Partnership for Quality Care, an organization of health care employee unions and employers that promotes high quality, affordable health care for all people. SEIU members and families showed up early for lunch prepared by SEIU Healthcare MN cooks and a variety of activities centered around promoting health. Afterwards, there was a public program that focused on health disparities in our society and featured a performance by Tony-award winning actress, Sarah Jones, who performed her one-woman play, "A Right to Care" followed by a panel discussion on health disparities.
